I beg your Pardon? Dr.
Ram Dass Editorial Mr.
Lewis "Scooter " Libby
what a track record. This man was found
guilty of deceiving a grand jury, lying to de FBI, perjury fuh lying in court
about being de leak in de CIA and making false statements regarding conversations
with a Time journalist
. And guess what? Good ole GW Bush give him an early
presidential pardon. Yuh see when you is part of de team
de rule is no man
goes to does any time. So
if your name is Silver Fox and you get 3 back to back two year sentences for thief'in
an lyin
there must be a way out. First you claim dat your sugar high,
so you could go Germany for de World Cup and then you start to dismantle de whole
Legal system of Trinidad and Tobago. So Bas is out because there is "a real
possibility of bias" in the sentencing by Chief Magistrate Sherman McNicolls.
I talk bout this last year... so just a few words to bring allya up to date as
de Soap continues. Bas
is once again de Leader of de Opposition (surprised?), as for his fall men...
unbelievable. Chief
Justice Satnarine Sharma should have been shaking in his shoes... on de brink
of jail time under criminal charges fuh trying to get ole Bas out easy... which
appears to have been successful (and this chain of events was probably de actual
design). But when McNicolls is called to testify (as a key witness)... he say
na! So you tell me how you could say dat you ent want to testify no more? He claim
that it is a form of oppression to have two case in parallel against de CJ. So
what is dis other case? Oh yeah... de PM gathering evidence to have de CJ impeached.
Which was just speculation at de time... but how you ga question a Chief Magistrate
decision? De
whole thing smelling wossa dan de labass on a humid day. In de end, de criminal
case done because of McNicolls defiance, and what is left is to have de case to
have Sharma impeached moved forward... so like another man ent getting no jail
time. De president is a rubber stamper placed in office by de party in power and
dat mean de while thing is a well orchestrated plan to make sure that no man goes
to jail... I could imagine Bas, Sharma, McNicolls and Manning drinking some
Johnnie Blue in some private members club in London (on we dime).
De ting that
is most disturbing to me is de mind set of de people. I not even talking bout
who born and ga dead in support of what ever political party dey in. I talking
bout something worster than that... imagine dat sad state exists! I talking about
a kinda glass ceiling that people in "office" place over de masses.
Colonization is a serious thing. Kingdoms and Monarchies... amazing. De idea of
royalty... Kings, Queens, princes and princesses... royal families... and those
who are lucky enough to share in their company. I ent know what royal blood
is? Tuh me all ah we does conceive and born in de same way? But Ram Dass willing
to accept opinions. Cindy
Bhagwandeen, on behalf of a client, sent a letter to the President's office requesting
that action be taken in the matter involving the suspension of de CJ for his attempt
to influence de case against Bas. Seems fair to me. Ya suspend a Chief Justice...
that is a serious matter. You need to get your tribunal together and handle
this. So Bhagwandeen say in she letter to de president, that if De honorable Maxwell
doh respond in 36 hours den she ga have to set some legal proceedings in place
to get this suspension revoked... seems fair enough to me. How you ga just suspend
a CJ and doh get your case together? Ah mean we living in a democratic country
right? Dat mean that we does vote to put public servants in office to mine
we business for we? So if de man that we put in office ent doing he/she wok, is
for us to let dem know? Well you cyah imagine de shock I was in when I driving
down de road listening to I95.5 and de question of de hour is regarding dis letter
to de President of Trinidad and Tobago... if de terms of de letter was a sign
of disrespect! To my shock and horror... at least 19 out of 20 people that call
in insist that Bhagwandeen have no respect for de law and de office of de President
by sending such a letter, and how they so offended that she could give de president
a deadline... well! My
people... De next time you ent have no water, doh call and complain, and if you
do, don't dare to give them a date to fix it. If ya road have big hole, jes
drive around it. When people dying in General Hospital in de waiting room, overs
dat. When inflation have milk so expensive that it now behind de counter next
to batteries and cigarettes, doh contact any Ministries. And well definitely...
if de constitution of de nation in jeopardy, is madness to ask somebody to rectify
or resolve dat, after all these people is big saga boys, being driven in too nice
car and wok'in in too nice office to let small fry give dem pressure to do dey
wok. Dr.
Ram Dass... Catchin meh ne ne Trini Jungle Juice Team ^
